- Registration Data: When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name (for tailors), email address, and telephone number.
- Profile Media: Users may upload profile pictures and business banners which are stored securely on our servers.
- Business Records: For Tailors, we collect business addresses and shop locations to facilitate the "Nearby Tailors" discovery feature.
Application Data (Bespoke Content)
- Measurements & Stitches: We store detailed body measurements and order tracking data (Stitches) that you input. This data is private to your account and is used to manage your tailoring workflow.
- Community Content: Any photos of designs, descriptions, comments, or likes you share in the public Community Feed are collected and displayed to other users as part of the social experience.
Technical and Location Data
- Precise Geo-Location: With your permission, we collect precise location data to help you find nearby tailors or to show your workshop to potential customers in your area.
- Log Files: SewSmart follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they use the app. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, and referring/exit pages.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our application.
- Improve, personalize, and expand our application features.
- Understand and analyze how you use our application to optimize performance.
- Develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
- Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the application.
- Facilitate the "Order This Style" lead generation process.
- Send you push notifications regarding activity on your posts (likes/comments).
- Find and prevent fraud.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
SewSmart does not sell, trade, or rent users' personal identification information to others. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use Google Firebase for authentication, database management (Firestore), and media storage. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- Peer-to-Peer Interaction: When you use the "Order This Style" feature, your public business contact information (Phone/WhatsApp) is shared with the inquiring user to facilitate business communication.
- Compliance with Laws: We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You have full control over your data:
- Self-Service Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the Settings menu. Upon deletion, your personal profile, all saved measurements, order history, and community posts are permanently removed from our active databases.
- Request Deletion: You may also contact us directly to request the removal of specific data.
6. Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
SewSmart does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our application, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
